ABOUT US

We purchased our first animals, two Nigerian Dwarf goats, in the spring of 2016. In the fall of 2017, our neighbor showed us the Valais Blacknose Sheep and we were hooked! We decided on Hesed Farms as our farm name because "hesed" is the Biblical Old Testament term for unconditional love, the kind of love Jesus Christ showed us by dying on the cross for our sins.

We became the first farm in the state of Michigan to have the Valais in 2018 and have focused our breeding on 100% full blood Valais from imported embryos for the last 2 years. We have sourced genetics from top breeders around the globe to bring you the best animals to grow your flock. We are also proud supporters of the USA National Valais Blacknose Sheep Show.  

We are founding members of the Valais Blacknose Sheep Society as well as members of the Valais Blacknose Sheep Association of North America. 

We raise primarily the Valais Blacknose Sheep but we also still have our original Nigerian Dwarfs.

We use our goat and sheep milk for soaps and lotions!
